Click Connect 40 Seat and Stroller

I was so thrilled to have the opportunity to represent Graco at the North Olmstead Babies R Us on Saturday to help them introduce the very first newborn to two-year-old car seat available on the market. If you’ve had babies before, and are coming back into this newborn thing again {like me}, you may not have heard that the American Academy of Pediatrics recently made the recommendation that children stay rear-facing in the car until they are two years old.

They have, and that presents a slight problem for all those growing toddlers who now need to scrunch up their legs in order to fit in the car. Not to mention the trouble it causes moms and dads who want to keep the seats in their cars scuff and muss free. Enter Graco…

It was exciting to arrive at Babies R Us – the ONLY place this new car seat is available – and meet Joanna from Mommy In Suburbia who was hosting the event. I was geared up with my iPhone, Twitter, and Instagram apps, ready to fill my followers’ streams with important info about this new car seat.

Now, I don’t know about you, but I’m a huge fan of Graco Baby products. We’ve had two SnugRide Infant Car Seats, a stroller, Pack and Play, among other things. Graco is the go-to name in safe and easy-to-use baby gear, so it makes perfect sense that they are the first company to tackle the challenge of designing a product to meet the AAP’s new guidelines.

This new Graco SnugRide Click Connect 40:

  • features a 4-40 pound weight limit.
  • adjusts easily to an amazing EIGHT recline positions.
  • boasts the Simply Safe Adjust harness system which allows parents to adjust both the headrest and harness with one hand—and NO rethreading!
  • “clicks” audibly into one of two click connect strollers simply and quickly.

The event itself was a blast! A few local mom bloggers stopped by to join in the fun, play some trivia, and try for a chance to win a brand-new car seat of their own. Since Saturdays tend to be busy shopping days, especially for new moms and moms-to-be, I asked the fun grandmas working the baby registry desk {after we stopped chatting about scrumptious, kissable, baby cheeks} to make an announcement inviting people to come join us for some car seat talk, cookies, games, and fun.

Moms, moms-to-be, grandmas, and a few daddies stopped by to sign up for a chance to win, listen to Joanna talk safety features, use their smartphones to cheat play trivia games, and eat delicious chocolate cookies:

After the fun, I got the chance to draw from the big, red bowl and choose one lucky mama to bless with her very own Graco SnugRide Click Connect 40 car seat! I had the best time – in fact, since there were TWO events held, I had the chance to bless TWO mamas! One was a bit shy, so I don’t have a picture, but just look at how thrilled Katie was:

The Graco SnugRide® Click Connect™ 40 – the first and only newborn to two-year infant car seat that actually grows with your baby from four pounds all the way up to 40 pounds. The car seat is designed for a parent on the go. The infant car seat can be easily removed from the base and used as a carrier when the infant is small, providing portability and convenience so you can easily move your infant in and out of the car without disturbing them.

The American Academy of Pediatrics recently made the recommendation to keep all children in rear-facing car seats until the age of 2. Graco set out to make this product so parents can keep infants rear facing longer while still keeping them comfortable.
